Your big day out sailing!

This isn't a sightseeing cruise. You'll be invited into the action from the moment you step aboard, working alongside Cascadia Sailing's experienced racers as they prepare for the 2026 NYYC International Women's Championship.

  • Get time at the helm and on the lines

  • Learn how a racing team communicates and works together

  • Receive real-time coaching and feedback

  • See what sailing looks like from the inside

Whether you've never set foot on a boat or you've crewed a few times, we'll tailor the day to your experience level. You'll come away with skills you can use on any boat, and a clearer sense of where sailing could take you.

Who is this for?

Sport and outdoorsy 2SLGBTQI+ individuals 18 and over.
No sailing experience needed. A sense of adventure and some physical confidence is helpful!

What does it cost?

The full cost is $475 per person, but thanks to Sail Canada, we're offering this program at a highly reduced cost:

  • If you can comfortably afford this without sacrifice: $100

  • If this creates financial hardship: pay what you can

No one will be turned away for inability to pay. Email us at [email protected] and we'll set up accommodations!

Who is making this possible?

Cascadia Sailing is a Pacific Northwest–based women’s team made up of experienced sailors from Canada and the United States, united by a shared coastline and a commitment to high-performance racing. The team brings Olympic, world championship, offshore, and elite one-design experience.

Wild About Sailing is an innovative little sailing school on Vancouver Island built around the mantra "fast is fun, small is beautiful." Using performance keelboats, we teach the new sailors. Our course cover introductory sailing to cruising certification. We emphasize safety, fun, diversity, and skill-building.

Established in 1931, Sail Canada is the national governing body for the sport of sailing. From dinghies to keelboats, cruising to navigation, windsurfing to powerboating and parasailing, we set standards and deliver programs for all Canadians.
We set sail to win and sail for life.
